Hi, I’m Faa!

Sense Of Food first started four years ago back when I was still just a high school student in Bangkok. I started my Instagram page on a whim after my friends started complaining about me posting way too much food (and nothing else) on my personal Instagram. Stuck with what name to use, my friend blurted out Sense Of Food, and that was it. I absolutely loved it. Straight to the point and simple with a catchy abbreviation ‘SOF’. My friends loved teasing me that SOF could even stand for Sense Of Faa, which I thought was a funny coincidence. But simply said, that was how Sense Of Food came to be.

Like most people, I’ve always loved food. But I’m particularly passionate in capturing the beauty and aesthetics of food. I love styling and photographing food at its utmost beauty, finding the best angle where the food looks most appetizing. To me, the appearance of food is probably the most important as it creates first impression on the food. If the food looks appetizing, people will crave for it. Yes, tasting and actually eating the food is the most satisfying part, but sometimes for me, just being able to capture and work with beautiful foods to produce droolworthy shots already make me happy. It fills my satisfaction up nearly as much as eating the food can. To me, good food photography isn’t only about being able to take good photos, but to be able to take photos that encapsulates the essence of the food—a photo where the viewer can nearly taste and smell the food just by looking at the photo. I’d like to share my passion to the rest of you through my gallery and bring you on a culinary journey with me through my photographs.
